Very nice, but I have seen it before and had hoped to see you on the commute as discussed elsewhere. Nothing like a well kept older bike, shows an owner who respects his steed.

Cheers guys! She's a 1982... possibly looks a little older the way I've done it but inspired by the Honda CL scramblers and new Triumph Scrambler...

Spent a few years rebuilding her and learnt a crapload of stuff along the way. Really could do with some more time tuning the carbs but I'll get there.

As for that exhaust... custom made by Tranzac down at Carbrook, love his work! He got it 100% right with just a verbal description from me after I left the cardboard mock up I did at home...

And keep your mitts off you lot nahnah

It won't fit a 500... the 500 exhaust ports point straight out of the head, the 450 (and earlier twins) come out at an angle so it won't work... but I know someone who will make you one Wink

I've got a Carbtune Pro, when I'm up for it you're welcome to come over and tune the carb's at my place. Its a real simple job, have done both the GS500 and Bandit (RIP). Twins are just one screw to balance them. The Bandit however that had to be balanced each side first, then sides balanced together, not hard just a process to follow.

Cheers for the offer Sean, but I already got one Smile

I got the four cylinder Carbtune Pro and a Colortune for Christmas just after I got the rebuild finished.

I've done the balance already and have got the mixture screws as good as I could with the Colortune, but the real issue is the jetting just off throttle and through the rest of the throttle positions. I just need to put some time aside and get stuck in... but enjoying riding it seems to always get in the way of that... haha
